Someone on the fishy said "The good far out weights the bad as Town fans", made me start thinking....

Here's how I see it...

Whatever fans personal feelings about whether he should be here or his ability, if the vast majority of fans want his confidence to improve so he can do the job that he is contracted to do for the club, then how it it going to happen ?

There is a small minority that won't stop and it is badly damaging his confidence - that's difficult to control.
But what the vast majoirty of fans could do is to try to lift him back up and sing "We love you Colgan we do" as a show of support.

Would that help ? You bet !

Not saying I want to him to be here either, but if he is staying, that is one way we could turn it round for the sake of the club.
But only if enough people want to and are prepared to...
Simply put, it's no good moaning at the boo boys - let's get off our backsides, be pro-active and do something about it !

Thoughts ?

Got to be well and truley honest here 80's, ok I'm gasping a sigh of breath here. After watching the gainsborough trinity highlights I for once actually saw good potential, only 7ish mins on the highlights but I did actually see some good gloves! As you know from me this is very hard to say, but I have to be honest from what I saw he got his body behind the ball and went for it. There was a dodgy incedent in the highlights tho that did let him done and I'm afraid to say it was a dodgy punch away! Fair enough the man needs confidance but also fair enough critisism.... Am I right? My critisism will be the dodgy punches away and that he needs to be more vocal at the back. This took alot for me to admit people as some will know trust me!!

Oh I saw some good gloves too mipples.
We all know he's well dodgy at crosses and commanding his area but he's not a bad shot stopper either, there are worse backup no2's IMO...

Criticism ? Nothing wrong with that....
Horrendous and relentless abuse by our own fans at matches?
Doesn't help things a lot IMO...

although I am guilty of naming him nutmeg. I would never stand by edge of pitch and down our team! I am and always will be behind them. And maybe just maybe any critisism we all have to any player can not only be taken as constructive but in jest to them aswell. I would never want to ever hurt someones feelings, by the way 80's are you going to the first game?

Yeah I wouldn't feel so guilty mipples, there's a big ifference between light ribbing on the forum and face to face personal abuse at the match.

Yes I'm hoping to go to the 1st game but if admin pull any more threads without good enough reason I won't be going to any more I can tell you.

it was rob peet in goal tonight. looked a bit nervy on crosses but made a great save.

i feel for colgan, he was by know means the only player to blame for us getting relegated but he bore the brunt of the supporters frustrations.
