I'm with you on this one 80's Glory. Looks like admin are censoring the feelings of the fans on Colgan, freedom of speech seems to be lost. We, the fans, pay this guys wages and should be allowed to comment on issues that he has brought to the table. He is not in love with this club and the majority of fans feel the same about him. I had to suffer his miserable display last season and feel I have the right to comment. The polls have been straight forward should he stay or go,no slanderous statements, just honest fans who hand over their hard earned cash wanting to voice their opinion, albeit tongue in cheek. If this is the way to go then why post on the gtfc site. UTM

It's not good, but I can see both sides. However the guy has a contract and whilst he is in our employment he should be required to perform.

I'm not gonna jump to any conclusions - there may be a good reason even if I can't think of one. If no reply appears I will be disappointed. I won't throw any tantrums, but I will probably (and sadly) say "au revoir" and good luck. Nice to have known you all then.... UTM

I don't want to enter into the censorship debate; but I would like to add that I won't be going tonight.
Whether you love or hate Colgan, if he wears the shirt tonight he's a Grimsby Town player; if he makes a mistake, it certainly won't be deliberate. I am not going to listen to morons, yes morons abuse him.
Mark my words, the reason why will not be promoted this season will not be due to the goals conceded, by Colgan or anybody else, it will be due to the lack of goals scored. Perhaps the morons should be having a go at the so called strikers, who couldn't score a goal if the opponents keeper was Stephen Hawking.
One good thing that did come from the poor showing at Burton, was we are 20 odd morons less; still quite a few to go.

Sorry but think that's unfair SW - Connell scored against Wednedsay after being set up by Peacock. Both Connell and Peacock hit the post against Gainboro. Both have been amongst Towns best 2 players so far this pre-season IMO. The fact they didn't have more chances might be something to do with a midfield unable to support or service a front pair(without pace) to give them the chances they need - same as last year maybe ? Very easy to blames strikers for a lack of goals but I also think there were many many factors that we went down last year, Colgan being one of them but by no means the only one either. So yes I do agree with you on that one.....

ADMIN has removed certain threads. This is not something that admin would normally do, so there must have been a massive amount of abuse from certain posters.
Maybe just the abusive posts should have been removed. I have no idea because I never saw anything.
I would not leave the board just because Admin have done their job. This is not a moderator removing threads. Admin is an employee of the club.

I am not incensed either way with the possible censorship, but I will not pay on top of my season ticket and make the effort to get to Blundell Park, to hear idiots slagging a Grimsby Town player. I am ready to admit that Colgan is not the best keeper we have had in recent years; but I want no part of undermining a player who despite his frailties, should not be treated in this way.
